Busy, busy, BUSY day :)

It’s been a crazy busy day around here today.

First, the first of the Scouting Litter has left for his new home.

Now officially Yasashiikuma Beaver Scout Law, he has gone to live with two young men who will be joining the Beaver Scouts this year,  So far, I hear the first day is going well 🙂

Tomorrow the next departure occurs   as Cubby heads to his new home.

Tonight’s news brings news of a great accomplishment for Scott Bowman and our Ch. Yasashiikuma Grace O’Malley.  Scott started Rally Novice training , taking his first Q at the Canadian National specialty at the beginning of the month.  Today he took another two back to to back Q;s, to complete her Rally Novice title.

While I may have been responsible for Gracie’s first points, Scott has been the one who has been at the end of her leash for the remainder of her accomplishments – he finished her Canadian championship, put the Best Puppy in Group on her last year at Cornwall, and this year her Rally Novice title.  A great dynamic duo 🙂

Hat trick (plus one maybe!)

Dragoon isn’t the only one who had a successful weekend.  His half-brother and sisters had a pretty good weekend too!

Megan with Ch. Yasashiikuma I am the Captain

Saturday was a Canadian Cardigan Corgi Club supported entry show in Cornwall.   Megan went Best of Winners/Best of Opposite Sex and Best Puppy with Captain to get the last two points required for his championship, under Pem breeder/judge Dave Eadie.

Since Megan and Scott have been working very hard with their puppies, and been so very close in their points earned, it seems only fitting that today Scott finished Gracie also.

Grace added a bonus – together they earned a Best Puppy  In Group award under Judge Mary White.

Congratulations to both of these terrific juniors!

I have written to the show secretary because it is POSSIBLE that Naomi finished also – but there seems to be some confusion just as to who won what!   Unfortunately I wont have a picture of the win if she did 🙁

Two months of catch up – Show news

Chip’s finishing picture from Monroe has fnally arrived.   He is now Am/Cdn Ch. Yasashiikuma Diamond Solitaire.  Next plan is to see about some obedience work for this guy since he has a LOT of drive!

There hasn’t been a lot of show news up here – too busy with puppies!  This weekend is the Cornwall show and there was a supported entry yesterday.  I was very happy to hear that Megan Bowman finished her puppy, Yasashiikuma I Am the Captain, going BOW and Best Puppy and was cut down to the final 3 in Puppy Group.   Hopefully a picture of the win will come shortly.

Dolly is showing literally in her underwear, and has taken the breed each day and a Group 4th yesterday.

In the meantime Captain’s sisters Naomi and Grace are both within 2 points of finishing, and its a race to see who gets them first.   The other litter brother, Skipper, has picked up one major in the U.S. and 8 points, so is chipping away at his title down there also.   Jessica is apparently finally getting some coat back in the Texas heat – and will make her ring debut soon.
