Canadian Cardigan Corgi Club – National Specialty 2012
The Canadian Cardigan Corgi will be holding it bi-annual National Specialty August 4, 2012 in conjunction with the Barrie Kennel and Obedience Club. Our judges for the event will be Peter Clifton – Regular Classes (Joseter, UK) and Eileen Eby – Sweepstakes (Kilvroch, UK) We are also planning to hold our own Junior Handling classes.
There will be a booster (supported entry) show on August 6th at the same location with Darle Heck judging. The other judges for the cluster are Aida Rivera (Bogata, CO) and Beverley Capstick (Monticello, MN).
The herding trials will be held the weekend before in Innisfil, ON – at Shepherd’s Watch farm. (POINT A ON MAP) On July 29 there is a Cardigan only trial with special prizes.
There are shows within an hour for three days before and three days after the Specialty, and the CWCCWR show is the end of that week, approximately 7 hours south. Judges for these shows will be announced as confirmed – we have been working with the show committees to get “Cardigan Friendly” judges. Point B on the Map is the Muskoka District Kennel Club (5 limited entry shows) and point B on the map is the Grey Bruce Kennel & Obedience Club. Performance events for the specialty will be held at the Red Barn Event Center in Barrie.

August 3rd – 2 Obedience Trials – Judge: Isobel Hutton & Agility Fun Matches
August 4th – 2 Obedience Trials – Judge M.J. Cloutier

August 5th – 2 Rally Trials – Judge: M J Cloutier
- 2 Agility Trials – Judge: Sherri Gourlie
August 6th - 2 Rally Trials – Judge: Lorraine Purnell
Judges for Muskoka are Elaine Whitney, Bruce Owen, Letitia Bett and two others still to be confirmed. Rally judges to be confirmed.
Conformation Judges for Grey Bruce so far are Guy Jeavons, Tom Burke, Morley Thornton and Fred Gordon. One additiona judge is yet to be hired. We will be holding a supported entry show on Tuesday under Guy Jeavons.
